Bring your friends and start one of those 16 player DSD games. :D

Since quite a few bugs have already been fixed since the RC, we would like to test a newer build.

See you tomorrow. :)

I thought this might be handy for some people. I'm -6 UTC but apparently that's -5 in GMT, I dunno it makes no sense to me, but anyway this link will do conversions for you according to your local time zone: http://www.worldtimeserver.com/convert_time_in_UTC.aspx

Saying GMT isn't the best idea during the summer. Please use UTC to mean explicitly non-summer time, or BST. Or maybe I'm crazy to want that? Let me know.

FYI stating UTC is better cause then windows users can just look at their computer clock time zone settings to tell what UTC time they are.

Ok I'm confused now, cause that gmt-utc thing had me thinking 4pm my time (central Standard - Kansas City).

But I'm in the same time zone as Chicago, and according to the link meltrax posted, it would be at 3pm. /me is confused...

Forb, because tizbac said GMT when he actually meant "Summer time in the would-be-GMT zone"

On windoze you need to install it on different directory
On linux you need to set the install prefix to a directory in the testing user's home and build and the install

If you want seperate settings on Windows it's easiest if you copy your springsettings.cfg (either from your Spring dir or somewhere in documents and settings) to the Spring 0.80 directory. Spring will use the settings file in its own directory first if it finds one. Same thing with SpringLobby and springlobby.conf.

I can't get it to start either. I hope you'll survive to use SpringLobby as long as it's not fixed.

I'll tell you how i've done it personally

1. Create a new user account
2. Log in with that account
3. Clone spring sources
4. Do cmake . -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/home/[username]/springinstall
5. Do make && make install NOT AS ROOT
6. Download and compile springlobby
7. Set the directories to the binaries in /home/[username]/springinstall
8. Start spring once
9. Edit .springrc and search for SpringData=, make that it is SpringData=/home/[username]/springdata
10. Make directory /home/[username]/springdata
11. Copy/link maps / mods folders here
12. Done :D
