Maps/mods installer

Post by Gota »

An installer is being made ATM that will include several OTA mods in one bundle alongside a list of maps.
The point is to make sure that whoever downloads this installer will have the highest chances of getting into a game without having to download anything new.

This installer will allow mod makers to update it with new mod versions to make sure that it always includes up to date content.

Here is a list of maps and mods that will be included.

Maps:
Tabula_v2.
DeltaSiegeDry.
Speedmetal.
Comet Catcher Redux.
Small Supreme Battlefield V2.
metalheck v2.
speedballs 10.
speedball v2.
Brazilian battlefield v2.
Titan duel.
geyser plains.
cooper hill.
nuclear winter v1.
Titan v2.
Escarpment-v2.
desert triad.
folsomdamnfinal.
Zion.
Dworld V1.
SuperSpeedmetal.
small divide.
red comet.
altair crossing.
Frozen Gauntlet.
Tropical.
Sierra V2.
Talus.
Altored divide.

mods:
Balanced Annihilation v6.96.
NOTA V1.59.
XTA 9.58.
BA chicken defence 1.59.
advanced ba 1.54.
Supreme Annihilation U21.

This list can be changed and maps/mods might be removed or added.
There is also a limitation of about 500 megs on the size of the installer.
The 3 major categories, when picking the maps, were size(that's why there are several metal maps),current popularity and potential(a good map both in terms of gameplay and visual quality that should get more playing time).

If anyone has a mod he wants included and does not have his own installer please contact me.

You get a gold star. Whoever made that map was a genius, it's perfect in every conceivable way, and in some other ways. It cures cancer, acne, and crotchrot. Mmm-mm, so goood.

Metal maps are highly played maps, they are also very small.
I don't like metal maps myself but that is irrelevant.

Could you see about including S44, Gundam, KP, CA, Nanoblobs, and others? Maybe an EvoRTS preview? No good will come from only including TA-based mods.

None of them have asked for this.
Also some of those have their own installers.

None of the games would benefit by being packaged with the mods.
