If Spring is like I remember it, the difference between an LoS of 32 and 48 is 0, as far as the engine is concerned. Or something generally like that - small differences get rounded.
Can someone briefly explain how this works?
For instance, suppose I always want Fleas to always see Jeffies one "graduation" sooner than Jeffies see Fleas. If I set Fleas to 340 LoS and Jeffies to 300, I might find out that they are both in the LoS graduation of "280 to 360" or something. Or I might unintentionally give Thuds a major unintentional advantage over Fleas by setting Fleas to 339 LoS and Thuds to 340, which happens to be in the next rounding category.
That make sense? Unit names are just for example of course.
How large are LoS size graduations?

it is a distance, this isn't like TA with the los tables.

With a default LOS mip level of 1 in modrules.lua or sensors.tdf, it's 8 elmos just like TA. Mip level 2 makes it 16 elmos, mip level 3 makes it 32 elmos.
