Audio nonfunctioning otherwise...this is my friends pc...he has "realtek High Definition Audio" that is showing an error...this is a studio pc so there is probably another way to which he does it...
it matters not for spring perfoms most curious error! While trying to change resolute
it gives "spring has crashed" and nothing has changed onscreen it has merely flickered as though switching the mode (of screen)

looks like a graphics driver issue.
Try older/newer graphics drivers, and... wellmaybe service pack 3 would help, but driver seems much more likely to me, to be the problem.
