Post by werdo »

I know that there are loads of tutorials on UV Mapping but there arent any advanced ones, theres loads I'd like to ask about say wings 3d but im prolly going to try and work it out myself, I have made this model and I am finding it very difficult to UV map it, can anyone give me help with this? its my 2nd model, I want this one to work lol

EDIT : It may seem like some edges are joined but there not, the wheels, body and cannon are seperate

manolo It Will NEVER HAPPEN (again...)

Yes its for spring, I have decided to start making a use of myself for it as ive played it forever. I was thinking of it being a support unit, kinda like a WWII tank destroyer but with a bit more pace so that it can tail it if needs be, Its all practise tbh, I havnt decided my main goals yet but they'll either be to remodel Ota units so that there legal and oridginal or to start my own mod whichwill take me timmmme.

for now I want to get my skills up, im getting the creation side a bit, but the uv maps ive managed to get look as appealing as your everyday grannys vagina and thats bad, unless yours Ugla =]

You'd better start making good geometry first.

Upload the model and I'll fix the geometry for you. And maybe I'll uvmap it too ;)

Check your pm. Model is fixed and it has a reasonably good uvmap.
