I have 2 Windows XP installs. Trying to migrate to the newer one, I have Spring installed now as well. I tried to make some NTFS Junctions (like a soft link in Linux) to not waste space and just use the old Windows' files, and just for the heck of it, ran TASClient. It worked, but it couldn't run Lua properly (I assume its looking in paths relative to where its running from). Problem is, the locally installed version of TASClient (which I seem to recall opening only once) just continually crashes with a kernel32.dll error as far as I can tell. Running from the other partition still works, but without Lua I rather just use Springlobby (which works fine, but I prefer TASClient).
Any ideas?

None of the lobbies use Lua ... i have no idea what you're talking about ...
Re: Odd TASClients
Maybe the tdf-loading lua from unitsync in base content? Exact error message, please.

Re: Odd TASClients
I fixed the problem by installing the portable version of Spring.
The lua error was in game, I wish I would of wrote it down, but it seemed like it said something about it being locked, which didn't seem to appear when I used Springlobby. (So not sure if they read LuaUI folder differently or something?) Either way, no worries now, thanks anyway.

That's not an error, that's a property of the mod.
