Replays crash every single time

I used to be able to load the replay, then get an invalid allyteam error (or player num error) multiple times, and then it would crash. Now (without changing anything) it simply crashes immediately after loading (I never actually see the map). Here's the infolog for this latter case:

Notice that I get the same "Exception: Access violation (0xc0000005)" error that others have gotten. I've tried changing drivers, and dragging the replay onto Spring.exe, but nothing works.

Spring also crashes in late big games.

you were using 0.79.1.0, latest release is 0.79.1.1.

I have the same problem. Even though I use the latest release, most of the replays I get from adune.nl do not load. It is very annoying, actually :(

to play a replay, you need to play it with the same versin of spring it was recorded with. most demos around are not recorded with the current release, of course.

I have the same problem, what can I do? Replays and one version of the game. I reinstalled the game but it did not help.

Do you play the replays with springlobby? If yes, please try without (just click on the demo).

I'm getting the same error in windows on my desktop and laptop with 0.79.1.2. Double-clicking the replay file in my demos folder doesn't do anything, the file type is registered with spring.exe but it doesn't start the replay.
