i see a nice 3d map without unit or geo or metal but with tree
what spring request for work ???
a gl file???
an winxp ???
some say nothing needed
but noreal help
i want report a debug but how use it ?

i try to found how use debug option for report more tecnic
so i click spring.exe and yes to be server and try random ennemy or all others script it s equal : nounit
but i remind in the v50 or 51 i seed the metal and today in v60b1 no metal
i had try with mod aa too with v50 or 51 ....
please how do i contact the programer for that he say to me how i use debug
i try with -d or -b paramater but it s make on error box run32 or nother win_close_windows
....

But seriously, when you do a complete install of the new release it should work fine. Try launching the "Commanders 1000 res" script, press enter to begin and use CTRL-C to select your commander.
Debugging info is shown with the B key, but I wouldn't know what'd you use that for.

TA Spring does not use a special feature that XP has. Spring uses all open source lbiraries exept Windows API and DirectX for sound, all of which are fully compatible with windows 98 and above.
Windows 98 and ME are crap. Any computer not fast enough to run XP should run 2000 or linux.
Aside from that we need you to make clear what the problem is. Your descriptions are confusing. Try using google translator, it may not be perfect but it might be better.

When the map loads, you are saying you have the map with trees, but no units or geo. If this is the case,, ARE YOU PRESSING ENTER (return),, and then waiting a few seconds for the units to spawn (appear).
In other words once the map has finished loading you need to press "enter" at which point the screen will freeze up for a few seconds depending on your system speed this may take as long as ten seconds.
The screen will un freeze and you should see geos active and ctrl - c to find your commander.

Emmanuel, could you take some screenshots please? I think that would clarify most problems here.
BTW, I don't want to offend you in any way with this, but I'd consider installing the Google Toolbar. It's got a nice spelling checker. It's a real lifesaver in my case!

To test the game run spring.exe choose the commanders scrpit, and a smaller map. Press enter to join the game, normally the game freezes for a moment, now press [ctrl]c to find your commander. If you see him good, does he have a green squre around him? If not click on him and his orders and build menu should appear. Start building things.
Please tell us at which point things dont work.
