warped graphics on Ati Radeon X1650

Hi, this is my spring these days:



I'm on updated Vista, using Ati drivers, dated 1-12-2008, version 8.561.0.0

this looks cool, like some interstellar mod with units uplinked to some powerful satellite xD

uhm... ^^ i had a problem with icons which was resolved by downgrading my ATI drivers to version 8.493.0.0
maybe this would help you, too.

btw there are new drivers, released 29.I.2009 IIRC.

i downloaded latest drivers on jan,30th and still had those icon issues

FYI: still got the same bug, drivers updated yesterday from ati.amd.com

They work correctly, except for this same bug in spring (see screenshot in OP)

current drivers: dated 13-1-2009 version 8.573.0.0

Should i submit a bugreport to ati?

i think yes, especially that other ati hardware works.

all ATI X1xxx cards suffer from this and the only working driver are anything catalyst 8.8 or older.
