Not really a development topic, but imo it fits here best since the devs should decide it.
Every now and again someone joins the freenode #taspring channel and asks questions about how to compile Spring or something similar. If they are lucky they get the response "you better join quakenet #sy" but most of the time they don't get an answer at all.
It would be a matter of a few commands to MelBot and #sy in the lobby, #sy on quakenet and #taspring on freenode are one channel. Imo the chat bridge between the #sy channels proved to be very useful and since there is next to no chat in #taspring it probably wouldn't change that much anyway.
So, what do you guys think?

+1, as long as it won't result in <bot1> <bot2> <a person> speaking, at least during normal operation.

Re: Chatbridge #sy <-> #taspring
We've been using a bot to link the spring lobby IW channel and our dev IRC channel, it has proven to be very successful, and very helpful, especially for me, as I can run IRC at my work, but not install spring, allowing me to communicate with testers on the Spring server.

I set it up now. If it makes any trouble or doesn't work, please tell me. (Apart from the scheduled downtime at around 3am German time.)

Would be nice if you tagged where the chat was coming from again. Also, some sort of bot command that would let you PM the bot and get a list of people on the other sides of the connection so you don't have to say "Hay XXXXX are you there?" and hope they're actually there.
