What does this mean?

Post by Theotherguy »

Whether I'm hosting or not, I'm now always getting this strange error:

The application or DLL C:\WINNT\system32\GLU32.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

Does anybody have any idea what this means?
I'm starting to get worried, because this is a new error and it means that I can't play any games of TAspring.

There's somethign wrong with the way OpenGL is set up on your system. Download the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Ah, I see. Well then it must have been caused by me getting a new patch for my card and it must have had some compatibility issues. In any case, I replaced the .dll with another one from the internet, and got the game to run perfectley for one match.

However, now it's having two errors which have the same effect. I can't play at all with these new errors.

There is another bad image error:

The application or DLL C:\Program Files\TAspring\CrashRpt.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

And when this error does not occur, there is a "failed to create start script" error. Reinstalling the game doesn't help, and I can't find a copy of CrashRpt elsewhere...
