Sound crashes in ubuntu after some time ingame

Hi,
After playing spring a few minutes, the sound crashes (gets stuck like a scratched CD) and needs reboot to be able to play music or get any sound.

The sound in spring is working perfectly until it crashes, I didn't need to do special settings to get it working.

I am using Ubuntu Intrepid on a Dell inspiron 9400 laptop, the soundcard is a Sigmatel Audio.

Do you have any idea of the problem and how to solve it ?

sounds like pulseaudio fail, tried a diff sound server?

I used to get this. I think it went away after I enabled the intrepid proposed updates repository and upgraded.
