Cant we make these map options DEFAULT?

So i dont need to make new map for these options... for fucks sake...

there are engineoptions already; if you make a good proposal (as in, a default implementation), why not?

It's been concluded several times already that mappers and modders don't want it to be possible to have their map/mod "misused" all too easily.

Besides that; there are default options already in the code but I didn't bother yet to figure out how to use them. (And yes, you still need to trigger them in your NEW map.)

Please don't derail this thread in yet another discussion about this, use "new topic" button if you want to start a discussion about this.

Yeah, like i made nometal speedmetal map because i couldnt change the metal values any other way... (and too lazy to disable mexes in every different mod).

You cant stop people making their own versions of the maps, since its all open source anyways.

Just add the default values there... would be more fun to be able to change maps without downloading 50 megs again. wouldnt it? :roll:

Same shit, you still need to download map to play, instead of just changing one fucking value in the battle room... z>_<z

Yes, but the downloading system should be able to take care of a 10KB file transparently.

They aint clones, they are different shaped/sized maps.
