Remake King of the Hill map?
Could somone please remake king of the hill, 24x24, with a hill in the middle with rotating stairs up to the top, from 0 to around 2000 height at the top of the hill? I think it could make for some impressive middle vs. outsider maps.

Play it, and you'll understand why there isn't any metal up there. Whoever manages to take the top of the mountain pretty much wins, however there is a saving grace in the fact that technically you should be able to undercut his econ by hitting his lowlying forces.
The mountain supplies an excellent tactical position, but cannot be self sufficient (this is where strategy comes into play...).

This is the second time I am repeating myself.I think it could make for some impressive middle vs. outsider maps.

Re: Remake King of the Hill map?
What you are asking for is unfeasible. The middle would always win by virtue of height/range advantage. What are the outsides supposed to do vs guardians perched on the cliffs? You want 2000 - 3000 height difference. KOTH is 1000 height difference and the mountain is MASSIVE. Download it and take a look for yourself.
The mountain team would always win. Also you couldn't use air cause remember how slowly vtols ascend and descend?
I'm not saying that it couldn't ever be done... Sure it could, but it would suck gameplay wise (no offense intended).

Sometimes people are looking for an entertaining game, not a pristinely balanced graveyard of mediocrity.
edit: and yes, I am employing superfluous hyperbole.

Middle would would only win if the outside players don't proper place a good siege tactics. Ok, maybe 2000-3000 terrain steepness is over powered and it can be unfair to the attacker, but if you are so worried about balance, have the outside areas more metal and just less and more easily obtainable metal in the middle for middle players, so the middle at least have enough metal to protect the bottom against overwhelming armies of the south.
I thank you for the responses Forboding Angel, but you seem to be fighting me all the way on something no one has to do.
Most maps are left vs. right, up vs. bottom, and its very generic and boring, it would be more interesting if people could make less assymetric maps, and even certain maps slightly unbalanced for fun, like geos vs low metal. a map thats incredibly skinny, like 24 x 6, and has water and land fairly split running up and down the map.

I understand that, however, an unbalanced map end up with 1 frustrated team and one happy team.Peet wrote:Sometimes people are looking for an entertaining game, not a pristinely balanced graveyard of mediocrity.

SOmething that isn't getting mentioned here is the fact that other than BB's and nukes, there isn't any unit with enough range to hit the stuff on top, and with corpses, the roadways would be clogged in no time.
Try Koth noruas, you might be surprised to find that it in many ways has the gameplay oyu are looking for (indirectly).
Even with resource distinctions, it's easy to defend a hill. Then you have MM's etc etc, it jsut kinda devolves from there.
