A new Mod is born! Also help with 3ds max 2008

Post by ErIpMaV »

I am planning a new mod based on the Doctor Who universe. What I plan to do is make a mod using the cybermen, the daleks, and the Torchwood soldiers. I don't know exactly what to do about sides. Maybe the Evil side (Daleks and cybermen) and the Doctors side (The doctor, torchwood).

I will need Modellers and scripters for this project. I myself have experience making basic models. I hope to get better with this project.

If interested you can email me @ bozo1222@hotmail.com :-) Thanks.

A design doc is still being formulated. This is a new idea that I have come up with just as I found this site. :)

If you are still interested reply

*****Edit********
Here is the design doc. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Exporting from 3DS Max 2008 is a piece of cake. Simply export your named parts in the 3DS format, then import into UpSpring to translate to S3O. Good luck with your project.

I will need Modellers and scripters for this project.
You'll be hard pressed to find any.

Yes, it's quite legal to sell a game made with Spring. Nobody has, yet, but that's simply because nobody's made a game worth selling that's entirely legal.

And what pktm's trying to tell you, albeit a little rudely, is that most of the people qualified as "scriptors" are busy with their own projects. Build some nifty content, and you may see some help down the road, but you certainly shouldn't assume that we were all just sitting around, waiting for you to show up ;)

I didn't think that. I just hoped that some like minded people would help me with a project as my own skills are not good enough to do this on my own.

The reason why you'll be hard pressed to find collaborators is because the skilled people here have mostly been involved in other long term projects for a long time already. There are a couple of freelancers who do random work for different projects, but you'll have to try hard to persuade them to help you.

With those vacancies it looks like your role is "idea man". Considerign that design document you don't seem very experienced at that either.
