I would install Supreme Commander to compare, but then I remember how horrible the patching process is and hunting down all the LuaUI widgets required to bring the Spring interface to a decent level seems like nothing in comparison.

Lots of statements there that proves they haven't actually invested much time at all in Spring and are just saying it sucks because they don't want to admit they've paid for an inferior product.

I was really hoping Supreme Commander as a commercial product would end up with a degree of polish that Spring always lacked, but no such thing

Pretty much that.

Imagine everyone playing against everyone in the same manner they would in an aistomp.

However, FA is supposed to be much better. It's a shame that I can't really run it though.

If you read ahead you will see i have mentioned in numerous places there are some serious non ta based mods in development.
But none of them is ready including your own.
So what exactly should i use but ta?
I even included some pics and links to forums.

Most of those people probably haven't tried spring in a year although they do make a good point about resync. They don't seem to understand that spring is an engin.
