convert to a ladder account?

well, i want to convert my account to a ladder account, i dont want to make a new acc just for ladder i want to be able to play ladder, and regular battles on my account, is that possible?

then why do i get 'that account is invalid' and username already taken errors when making a new one? maybe i already have one, but then i dont know the pass anymore, could you check?
