new idea converting ta tnt. to ta spring format for maps
you have the map formatted in ota as an tnt and this 'program' reads the map and verifys elevation, size, and looks for trees and metal patches and places them into the map, this would make converting all ta maps more effective and time saving unless you already have that. it may not be a perfect converter completley to ta, but that may only require little fixing. if this isnt possible then everyone can throw stones at me about how its never going to be possilbe
Spring requires maps to be at a size factor of x*1024 (or is it x*512? Either way...). Very very very few OTA maps conform to that kind of limit, so the program would also have to stretch/squash the maps, which would result in a quality loss either way (on a texture that is already only 256 colors). Not to mention the fact that the water areas on TA maps are rendered on with the water height set to match, which would really look odd with Spring's water. Oh, and also, most of the maps look fine in a 2D view, but look like utter shit in 3D without major reworking to begin with.

Converting TA maps to working in TASpring takes time. Due to
some TA maps need to be resized to fit the Spring map format.
Also, the highmaps and texture maps will not look right in a 3d
view. You will need to redo alot to the texture map. Also, the
height maps will most likely need to be fix if not redone.
