Display Problem in SpringEngine.

Post by Black Serpent »

:(

Here is the problem: The ground Texture is a PLAIN color, (grey).
It has a Normal map applied to it, and the heightfield displays alright.

The ground actually looks like some kind of a folded paper.

This is, as if, the BMP of the texture that applied to the heightfield geometry of the whole level (terrain, in short) is either not loaded at all, or was rejected by the display engine (xgl?) for a mysterious reason.

Tested on Great Divide, which is quite a small map.

everything else looks fine, though.

Note: There are no problems in any other games that run here.

Details:

Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy, Intel Mobile Express Chipset 965 (Laptop)
2GB RAM, 1.83 Duo Core (2) CPU

What should I do? (not tested under winXP yet...)
