Snap your Fingers, Snap your Neck
Do you have a favorite cover of this song by a band? Feel free to let me know. There are 3 covers I know and the original. Prong, Demon Hunter, Dry Kill Logic, and a different version I heard which is by far the slowest with a soft singer, no idea what band.
My favorite is the one by Dry Kill Logic

Well, it does sound really different from their normal songs. Their lead singer is better than I thought if he can really do that with his voice.

You should like Rob Zombie if you like this kind of sound

The Cardigans covering Iron Man by Black Sabbath http://youtube.com/watch?v=SzgZJEpLuw0
Lots of people really loathe this cover but thats usually people who don't really have much appreciation for music and just like how heavy or brutal it sounds.
Alice 'n Chains covering Suffragette City by David Bowie

This dosen't particularly improve or take the original in new directions but i like it cause its funny to hear one of the big 4 grunge bands back when they were covering bowie and playing glam.
Nirvana covering Where Did you Sleep Last Night by Lead Belly
http://youtube.com/watch?v=eN2jYqs8myI
The original of this song is early 1900s blues where the percussion is just a guy slapping his hand on his knee. The original is pretty impressive for its time cause it isnt just standard 12 bar blues but the singing in the nirvana version is pretty excellent. I dont even like nirvana much (im rly edgy)

I was referring to the difference in his voice from then to now. If you've heard any recent Dry Kill Logic, you'll know what I mean.Masure wrote:You should like Rob Zombie if you like this kind of sound

Thank you for reminding me of this song. Now, I have to kill all of you, and your families, pets, and former flames.
God, I hate that nu-metal crap. If I want something "dark", I'll listen to NIN, KMFDM, or Frontline Assembly before that grunting hogswaddle any day.
