Updated gelgoog texture.

Post by smoth »

Since I am going with a more realistic style I am updating the gelgoog texture.

Click for larger pic. Also satrik that map sucked. it had a really bland sky and no interesting terrain to feature a shot around. Any other recommendation?

Gundam has been out for some time but it is always in the works. New content is constantly being made. Right now I am working on a model for a new unit

You know, people always like before-after-screenies...

All I can say is that it looks good except for one spot:
That greenish hip part you especially see on the right bot in your picture should get some details too as it's a really huge area with just a green gradient (in that screenshot it's about as big as that leg armor thingy on the back which also has some "lines" on it)...

I know, just that the sides Krogoth was talking about have no additonal details there either. Couldn't find a good shot.

They still look pretty lame, but better, the legs annoy me the most, too chucky.

That comment wasn't necessary clericvash. Whatever personal problem you have with me should be left from your critique.

Despite what you beleive i am still a fan of the Gundam mod, i beleive the legs and the skirt kinda thing are too chunky and stick out too far.

It was my own opinion on the model.

I didn't change the model, this is a thread about the texture update.

Secondly what do you mean by "chunky" Any high poly count it it would be a fps model.

Well i didn't see another gelgood thread to post about it.

By chunky legs i mean the round bit on the back seems well to come out too far making it look like a chucky monkey.

And the skirt sticks out too far imo, makes it look a bit strange.

As i said before, it looks better, which was referring to a much nicer texture you did.

yeah, the extended skirt is actually a mid way, there are some gelgoog action figures/model kits with tiny skirts and others with larger skirts/shins. I chose what is actually a middle ground between the two.

Ah right, pitty you didn't choose the "mini-skirt" heh are gundams girls or what?

Seriously though smaller back would of looked so much better in game.

"hey look theres a load of wide-assed gundams comming my way"

A gelgoog seems to make for a nice pimpmobile if you paint it pink...

Clericvash, he's meticulously following an existing design by another group of artists...it's pretty silly to be criticizing the design.
