My Lua Widgets - Listed

Post by TheFatController »

Inspired by this topic I have decided to make a thread with all my widgets hosted with descriptions for the community.

My Metal Maker Widget v2.62
(TheFatController, [LCC]jK)
Image
- Automatically controls individual metal makers to keep your energy hovering at 50% with little pingpong. (the target level can be changed).
- Always uses more efficient metal makers first.
- Always gives priority to non-metal maker energy use.
- Turns off metal makers when you have full metal.

/luaui energyhover 0.5 - Sets the desired energy target
/luaui forcestall - turns on all metalmakers until you estall

- Please disable any and all other metal maker widgets before using this, they will intefere with it and it wont work very well

http://pw3n.net/widgets/unit_improved_metal_maker.lua

Display DPS v1.1
(TheFatController, trepan)
Image
- Shows damage done to allied units (or all units in replay mode) in Worms style white floating numbers.
- Also shows EMP damage.

- Can't show damage done to enemies in a normal game as that information is not available to luaui.
- Extract the zip file to spring/luaui/

http://pw3n.net/widgets/gui_display_dps.zip

Unit Mover
(TheFatController)
Image
- Allows combat engineers to build multiple units with "Repeat" set to ON by moving finished units out of the way.
- Combat engineers must be set to build in at least 2 spots for this to work.

http://pw3n.net/widgets/cmd_unit_mover.lua

Factory Kickstart
(TheFatController)
Image
- Replaces the default "Move" order from factories with "Move,Fight" making builders auto reclaim nearby trees and repair stuff and makes normal units be more aggressive when they leave the factory.

http://pw3n.net/widgets/unit_factory_kickstart.lua

Don't Shoot
(TheFatController, quantum)
Image
- Automatically sets the commander to "Hold Fire" when cloaked

http://pw3n.net/widgets/unit_dontshoot.lua

Emotes
(TheFatController)
Image
- Allows you to display every emotion imaginable with a set of specially crafted drawing macros.
- /luaui emotelist for the commands.
- /luaui emotename to draw it at mouse cursor.

http://pw3n.net/widgets/cmd_emotes.lua

Auto Mine Widget (alpha/abandoned)
(TheFatController)
Image
What the widget should do:
- Automatically sends minelayers to mine locations where enemies enter your LOS when the coast is clear.
- Automatically replaces destroyed mines.

What the widget actually does:
- Randomly lays mines in places that confuse and anger your allies.
- Uses too much of your CPU.
- Sends minelayers to their death or gets them stuck trying to build a mine somewhere they cant reach.

- Select a minelayer and use "/luaui automine cormine3" or whatever the mine name you want it to lay is, a red "M" will appear on the unit and the fun begins - use the "Stop" command to turn it off.

http://pw3n.net/widgets/cmd_auto_mine.lua

Factory Autorepeat
(TheFatController)
- Sets new factories to "Repeat ON" automatically

How did you make the emotes? By manually adding co-ordinates?

I wrote something in visualbasic6 where I could trace images and it would output the coordinates for the script, unfortunately I lost the program in a reformat :(

It will be reborn one day!

I almost always use repeat on factories and I don't play speedmetal. Ever.

I vaguely remember playing a 40+ minute game of speedmetal against you and someone else?

Often the forums get spammed with opinion based disputes which is no directly on topic. I find that spammy. That what has happened here when Hoi accused repeat AI to be only good for speedmetal maps.

There are a lot more of these widgets. It is a pity they are not all listed here.

that means that the rest is universally considered as good, so much that any discussion is pointless ;)
