Hello
My name is Andrew Bremer
I am in charge of a small game development team called EDEN Software. At the moment, we are developing a very interesting project using the Game Maker programme. I wish to ask if anyone would be able to or willing to assist us.
The game is an RTS called Brotherhood Wars, and it is set in a world which has been affected by massive war between five factions.
If you are willing to consider this proposal, then please let me know and I can send the relevent design files and information to you for you to have a look at.
If you need to contact me, here are my contact details:
EMAIL: ralf96@hotmail.co.uk

Many thanks in advance
Andrew Bremer

Re: Game design proposal
no offense but don't you think the human vs robots vs weird aliens theme is a bit hacky?

Re: Game design proposal
I know it has been used before, but there are 2 more factions that will be brought into it to balance it out. I don't want to reveal them for now because it will ruin the surprise, etc.... but the three initial races are simply the beginning.
It will be unlike anything before, but thanks for the comment :)

Re: Game design proposal
Congrats on learning to advertise. Now, please don't do so on the spring forums.
Also, your design looks kinda clunky.
A) Skim down on story. Story isn't actually that vital to a game, it's merely a window dressing. Not that a game should lack a story, but it should be a sharp, smartly laid out, clear and simple story, which you expand on with either a campaign, ala CnC 3 and Supreme Commander, or you don't expand on it at all, ala Sins of a Solar Empire.
B) So far, your sides look kinda samey, and ... well, meh-ish. They don't stand out as unique to me.
C) You list no mechanics, nothing that makes your game unique (the story doesn't count in this regard) - As an example, Supreme Commander's mechanics are "unparalleled massive scale maps. Gigantic experimental units. Upgradable commander". Those are it's unique selling points, what make it a unique game. Starcraft and Starcraft 2 have "3 unique factions, each of whom plays differently. Specialised units combined arms with general purpose units."
If you want me to look over your design document, send me a PM to get my contact details.
