Coop with 1 Army ?

Post by NoDKane »

Hi I've been following this project for a while now but just now registered to the forums.
I don't know if I missed it or if it's possible or what but is there anyway to have two players control the same army?
I ask this because of the ability to go first person and control the units and I think it would be real cool on lans to team up by having a construction commander and a unit commander working with the same units.
But besides that the program is great it's like a dream come true. And with the latest patch of quasi-AI it's even better. :-)

I thought you could control your allies units by default... anyway, if two people are the same 'team', not ally team, then they are the same players and share a commander.

It's SAVAGE all over again! *laughs*

It would be pretty neat for, say, eight players on one team (as in race) with the Commander, and all the others can choose between any units the Commander builds, other than Construction ones, or he can lock specific units, and grant access, like a ranking system, so whoever has the most kills in FPS can upgrade to a better unit, etc. You're given choice of starting with a Jeffy or Peewee, and the more kills and less deaths you have, you can be awarded units by the Commander. However, this IS an RTS, not an FPS. Get the RTS bit done completely, then add in lots of extra nifty features. ;)

My 2 pence.
