Turned out to be buggy AGP drivers. Using the nvidia built in ones now instead of agpgart and it's quite stable and runs nicely. Still is funny on windows, but that's life I suppose.

Hey,
I'm trying to run spring0.76b1 on archlinux in 64-bit mode. Video card is an Nvidia Geforce 7300GT, all other GL apps work fine. Spring seems very flakey (it flickers a lot and sometimes lags to respond to user commands, this is generally, haven't found a situation where it doesn't, even the startup menus) and after 2-3 minutes of running, it consistently crashes with a SIGABRT. I've attached a log of a typical session running inside gdb. Having read about Lua sometimes being connected with these issues, I tried to disable everything Lua in .springrc and it makes no difference. I don't know a non-Lua mod to try though.
If anybody can tell me if this is a known issue, or whether I've got something quirky here, it'd be much appreciated. Any pointers on what to do to fix it would be great, too. :)
EDIT: haven't attached it, since it doesn't allow .txt files... but I've put a copy at http://rijidij.org/~nikosai/spring_crash_log.txt

Re: OpenGL crash?
Interestingly, Spring behaves exactly the same way when I run it under Windows XP in 32-bit mode on the same machine. So I'm thinking it might be something quirky with the machine itself. Maybe videocard? Anybody got a good way to test a videocard for problems?
