Yet another new map: http://www.unknown-files.net/spring/3951/A_Valley_Beta/
12x12 map designed for 1 vs 1. Wind speed 5 to 20. KBots can go almost anywhere on the map. Vehicles cannot pass the highest mountains, but they can slowly work their way through the hills. The size (12x12) is a little larger than most 1 vs 1 maps, but the distance between start positions is close to normal.
The inspiration for this map came from my erosion program which I've been tweaking recently, but my goal is to make a good map for 1 vs 1 battles. With that in mind, is there anything which might be improved? For those who play a lot of 1 vs 1, what types of things do you look for in a map?

Re: A Valley (beta?)
Question for the veteran mappers out there - I've encountered sync errors in both of the multiplayer games I've tried on this map. The sync errors occurred fairly early on, but not immediately after starting.
I suppose it could just be coincidence, but I'm afraid the map might be causing the problem.
Are there any specific map-related issues that can cause sync errors? This is the first time I've used a 16-bit height map - could that be the problem?

Download your own map from UF and delete pathing info. It's worked for me before.
