Game crashes after start

ok i've been TRYING very hard and i read like 7 pages of the forum and i cant find out a thing on it, im running 50b2 of ta spring, the game launches and people connect but when i press enter or they press enter to start the game i just get an error and it closes, well it doesnt even close i have to end the process otherwise i have a new background for the day. but it freezes and i cant play with an error


TA Spring 0.50b2
Using script Test script
Player A joined as 0
Using script Test script
Player B joined as 1
Spring has crashed

i'm trying to find out what it is
i have a 3.4 ghz cpu, 256mb gf 6800 gfx, 1024 ram, i dont think its hardware. i've reinstalled twice... i dont know what it is.

i have OTA but i dunno if that could be part of the problem? anyways i couldnt find the answer if i overlooked it and theres a link or something i missed it'd be helpful, otherwise any recommendations. im gonna continue browsing and asking though. (the world without units looks nice at least... lol)

ok i fixed it... i had to uninstall, download from a diff mirror, install it, and it worked?

funny, I have the exact same problem after installing taspring_0.51b1.exe
- I have an Intel 3.4 ghz cpu, 128mb gf6800 and 512 ram

quite equal hardware... it did'nt help to download and re-install and i tried many different maps and scripts... any suggestions?

Does it work if you play offline? Go to the spring folder and double-click spring.exe - say "yes" to "do you want to be server?" and pick either the commanders script or the random enemies script.

Pick a map and see if the game starts.

This should tell you whether it's spring itself, or the battleroom that's the problem.

its the same thing.. also after re-installing and installing the .NET framework. The battleroom also gives exceptions when I try to connect, sigh...
