This conversation was made about the xray widget and how to improve it. I removed my side, cause it's full of dimwitted questions.

Sadly I don't think many people will actually see what you're asking for and just get confused. A paragraph stating exactly what you want and why would help enourmously.

Do you just want a gadget version of the xray shader widget?

yes, but the xray widget can be improved, to have (assuming I understand correctly, a negligable performance hit.

X-ray shader + 8 bit mask where and at what strenght it is to be applied + alpha cycling => almost CNC3 aliens.

I'd also like an overlay shader which simply draws team color on top of textures by using yet another 8 bit mask and ignores shading. Much like glow, just without glow because glow turns bright colors into almost white.

Shader programming still gives me a headache though.

+23 virgins on my part.
