We've once played baseball in school. Not sure if it had the original rules but it played pretty much like something we regularly played except with six bases, multiple people per base and the runner throwing the ball instead of batting it (Brennball, similar to Pesäpallo). Biggest difference was that there was a whole lot less running because people couldn't hit that stupid ball.imbaczek wrote:Actually, here in Europe baseball bats have only one use and no one wants to be on the receiving end of itIf you don't count TV, I haven't seen a baseball ball (or whatever it's called) in my whole life.
Ohhh, I'd forgotten that baseball is basically rounders.KDR_11k wrote:We've once played baseball in school. The actual parts of baseball are fun. Hitting is fun, catching is fun, passing is fun, and running is fun. The problem is you will only do one of those maby once every 5-10 minutes in an actual game, if not less.Muzic wrote:I like playing. Mostly becuase I like hitting stuff with a baseball and watch it fly around cause it reminds me a jedi defelcting laz0rs.
cricket ftw! Its crap to watch, but its great because...
1.) If you actualy go to a game, the whole point is eating loads, having BBQ's, getting absolutely battered etc (im off to one tomorrow ^^ )
don't even bother watching it..
2.) If you watch the results on TV, it's just like some nutter has decided to put up lists on numbers and is playing a big joke on everyone watching.
3.) Its better than baseball (i never want to live through another game of it again) which isnt even as bad as...
4.) American Football. Words cannot describe how much of a joke it is..
err im a bit out of it tbh, im not sure what i typed makes sense, or rather, the way i typed it.
all that matters is that i know what i mean

I prefer baseball to cricket. I play baseball at a local club. It's faster than cricket, which can take up 6 hours a day for a one day match, or a test match, which is five days in a row
. And you're also at least doing something when you play, as opposed to wishing you had a deckchair when your a fielder in cricket
.
Having played cricket as well, it is much more fun to watch it than to play it. When you watch it, it gives you the excuse to drinks lots of beer at home. Plus, you can always walk away from it when it gets too boring. As it usually does.
