I'm getting a new TV, intended just for movies and video games, probably not much else. But I thought, hey if I can get some TV on the cheap, why not?
Then I realized I have 3 providers to choose from. Rogers, which I might get a deal with if I wasn't switching to another ISP.
Bell, which is is written next to the word "Incompetence" in the dictionary - if you've ever thought you had a bad experience with a phone company... consider your experience an amusement park compared with what Canadians go through for Bell. Triple overcharging, no refunds, requests for cancellations being "misinterpreted" as requests for additional services, names on accounts FUBAR, service that would be improved if they stopped offering it, no ETA on anything, lying service reps... OH MY GOD NO I'M NOT GOING WITH BELL I'D DIE SOONER!!!
Starchoice, which *appears* to be some sort of moderate faction, but I can't tell you for sure since I've been waiting 40 minutes for the bloody pricing page to load!!!
Surely there are other providers? An alternative? Some company without enough advertising $$$ to get noticed? I mean for instance, every high speed provider in Canada charges like $50 a month for their service. Until you look into it and discover that $30 a month providers exist - and their slogan isn't "How can we disservice you today?"
Maybe a provider where I can, omigosh, just order the 3 GOOD TV channels, and leave out the shopping network and 4830 timeshifting channels and all that other crap?

For $56 I can get a reasonable package with an HD receiver... that's a lot more than I'd like to spend. There's also a $200 up-front fee. *facepalm*

Crikey, Bell wants $85 or $102 for the same thing.
Cheap TV (cable/satellite/whatever) provider in Canada?
