Players and a lack of testicular fortitude.

Post by smoth »

I am tired of this rubbish, players have complaints that only manifest when the content developer(s) are not around to respond. They deride our projects and feel somehow that they are appropriate in their complaints. Yet when asked to tell said team(s) about their complaints they say the forums suck or they cannot be arsed to post.

I swear, we do all the damn work so they can bitch. What the hell people, why do we care anymore!?!?!

I am not talking about all players. Many of them are great people but for the entirety of today all I have heard is borderline racism about '44 and hate about how America didn't play a part in the war. CHRIST, they don't have the balls to bring this to a team to tell them. Maybe I am wrong for assuming their balls have dropped!

I was in the lobby once lurking during a gundam bitch fest. when I finally spoke the little asshats shut up! What the hell, you want to bitch but you cannot do it OVER THE INTERNET!?!? I cannot punch you in the face over the Internet believe me, I wish but no! Yet, you cannot complain directly to myself or any other developer? While we are not around you feel the need to deride OUR WORK?!?!

I don't see many of you little whiners doing anything around here!

Ah, that was --><-- up, down, AABA, down. Doesn't everybody know the Spine Remover Special Attack?

Er, and uh, yeah, I agree with Smoth. Whatever he's saying. Something involving testicles, right?

Yhea it's like all this talk about who is cooler; Scorpion or Sub-Zero, it's an endless discussion that is just totally irrelevant once you discover Reptile.

Since smoth made a rant heres my mini rant.

Garunteed you won't find one topic where people by there own will keep on topic. This forum is full of twelve year olds who derail every topic talking about crap.

Blasphemy. Noob Saibot and Ermac uber alles. Characters named after debug symbols and backwards developer names are always the best.

That was a pun, wasn't it?

Mortal Kombat also became notorious for false secrets hidden in the game's depths, some more obvious than others. Viewing the service menu of Mortal Kombat II revealed that among the statistics of the game, there was a counter for "Kano Transformations", which many took to believe was proof that Shang Tsung could morph into Kano if you knew the right command. In the arcade version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, the intro included brief clips of combatants fighting, and one seen in the video was a purple ninja named Rain who was not normally selectable, creating rumors that he could be unlocked. Both of these, however, were intentional red herrings created to keep determined arcade gamers playing just to unlock secrets that didn't actually exist.
...or, how to make your game sell even better.

Hey guy's I have seen some screenshots of that Gumdan mod, it really sucks.
And that Smooth guy that rants about us and thinks that he actually knows something (he can't even make his planes shoot down on ground units!!) he's just all air, can't even stand some constructive feedback. I mean I have looked at the source and it's all just easy stuff - just some variables in a fbi text file and an animated model. You don't have to code or anything!
But hey,.. make one remark about it and he is all rant - rant - rant only to start talking to himself on his own forum.

Sorry, love you smoth.

Unfortunately Nemo and Floz took over my mod and decided to actually give a damn about what some magical "players" think. It's more important what I think about my own mod, and if I like to play it (otherwise what's the fuckin' point? I don't get paid for this shit and I don't feel any sort of satisfaction for supplying yet another reason for some internet losernerds to slowly waste their fat asses away infront of the computer for 7 hours every night after school).

IMO, if anyone has a problem, the classic "If you don't like it, don't fucking play it you stupid militant geek" works wonders. If your playerbase falls to 3 (you, your brother and your gf who lives 3,000 miles away in another country) then so be it (that's not a personal supposition on YOU smoth, just in general... I've been there!). Sure, it's emotionally uplifting to see your mod being played by noob bitches in the Lobbyall the time, but meh... either you cave into the people and become their bitch, or you make the game you want to make.

You did at least like the mines Nemo put in? I suggested those as an avid player of the game who would force my way onto the team if I had an ounce to contribute in terms of modeling.
