TPS
i am absolutely positive this has been asked for and if this is completely useless dont get all bitchy and or delete it or provide a thread that talks about this. Now, does anyone know if its possible to make it so you can control a unit in third person mode i think it would make unit control mode much easier and funner... it was also be nice if those aiming this weren't there/hidden and made a much simpler aiming indicator and third person would also make it easier to navigate units which proves very hard because u cant see what direction you're facing.
The basic mode is 3rd person already. Are you saying more along the lines of basic unit control when it comes to overhead camera position?
Would a mini-window in plain perspective suit you while in fps mode?

i agree..i think of fps mode as a useless fun toy...making it third person and improving the aiming a little would make the game way way bigger not only just for fun but you could have missions and much more also there is a game Called savage..where they're are like 40 or so normal people who are normal units that are in third person mode and 1 commander who is in rts mode and provides income for the units (it costs money to respawn) and upgrades. I could see this just as a possibility for Spring.. all though thats a little extreme spring could at least use an OK unit modeAF wrote:+infinity
This would make fps mode lot prettier, and it would make it easier for some people to maneuver around, as some people can get lost easily moving the camera around and loosing track of what direction your moving in....
read more on savage here http://www.s2games.com/savage/index.php ... avageindex this isnt spam

What I'd like, frankly, is a Freelancer-style control schema (i.e., third-person, mouse both steers and aims, with control over roll amount per unit, etc., allowing for complete control). That'd be really cool- we could have games that featured more immersive gameplay (er, and I could use that to build Freelancer II at some point, hehe).
