If there's one thing GPG got right it's the supcom E3 trailer. Now there's a new trailer out, for their xpansion. DL here:

Personally I think this new trailer sucks balls. It just shows random close up action and explosions. Nothing like the old trailer, with the buildup and epic battle, that gave the story of a really cool game unfolding instead of some random supposedly "cool" stuff happening.
The trailer shows off some of some of the new units and mostly the new race. It's the daddy seraphim that's coming and its pissed off. The 3 human factoins are obviously uniting (forged alliance) against this new threat and blah blah we all heard that stuff before.
The new units include a new UEF bot that seems to be exactly the same as their old siege bot Titan, shooting the exact same kind of gun and looking pretty much the same. The cybran has a unit that looks like a monkeylord only with 2 battleships turrets instead of the OMGWTFLAZOR. Uef has a unit that's exactly like the lvl2 mobile missile launcher only shoots 3 missiles. The new race seems to have a huge transport, a huge bomber, and they look like Aeon except more glowy parts.
It will be interesting to see, if the 3 humans are melded together for multiplayer as well as in the campaign, seeing as this is a standalone xpansion.

well if i end up upgrading my comp i think i might get this solely based on the fact that its going to have an extra race so why pay for the original...
As to the vid: Seems like the new race really like them supa bombas. They've got a look of Bentusi mixed with Eldar/Tau, mixed with Tron to me... lets hope they have some interesting play styles.
not surprised that the normal races are getting new upper tech units (what with the lack of them and all...) though th cybran ones seem a little uninspired.
What the hell is that walking box for the cybrans??? i mean seriously it has its own 3 sec solo shot in the vid and all it does is walk???

And then we had the neolithic age after warfare amongst Men annihilated everything technological, (Homo erectus was just a hobbit) and we bega in the neolithic age and rediscevered farming and cities.
There was going to be a great war between east and west, but someone went back in time and killed Hitler, and then we had a different war, and then someone named Yuri came alogn and did some crazy shit.
Then, peopel got to Mars and the Moon and discovered weird alien races and shit. And then someone grokked too much and was stoned to death.
In the meantime, in another galaxy, the Terran, Protoss and Zerg were battling it out... the end race would be able to orgincally grow everything, worship arcane gods, and harness the powers of singularities...
Then, humans took to the skies and stars and pizzowned a lot of shit using the Aldermann Drive and the Langston Field, and did battle with the Moties.. But even then as time went on, things changed and better technology was developed, and space held much hope for humanity, and the galaxy was slowly populated, adn the Aeon Illuminate rose, and shit happened, yadda yadda yadda, and then
The galaxy was governed by its Core, and a paradise flourished... but what began as a conflict over the transfer of conciousness from flesh to machines escalated into a war that decimated a million worlds. the Core and the Arm all about exhausted the resources of the galaxy in their struggle for domination. Both sides, crippled beyond repair, the remnants of their armies continued to battle on ravaged planets. It became a fight to the death, and for each side, the only acceptable outcome was the complete and utter elimination of the other.
The Empire of the Core fell to the Republic of Arm, which became the Galactic Empire, and the psychohistorian Hari Seldon predilected the fall of the Empire, and the Foundation series ensued. And, as you all know, Gaia was the end outcome of humanity, the great hive-mind that looked after everyone and brought the galaxy to peace.

I've got it figured out:
Forged Alliance will use DirectX10 optionally. I'm almost totally certain of it, for various reasons... mostly that DX10 compatibility is the biggest technical grief you'll hear about this game, even if it only comes people who use Vista, inherently trendy idiots with ipods and blogs who have no idea what DirectX even is.
