Haven't played OTA in forever...

Anyways a few of my buds and I usually get together and play some old RTS via lan. Usually its Age of Empires II over Hamachi. Some of them dont have splendid computers so we stick to low-fi RTS'. Now I havent played OTA in about 6 or 8 years.

If anyone still plays, is there a server or anything I could go? Anyone reccomend some mods?

WarZone and Phoenix Worx. However, if you haven't played TA for years, brace for ownage. There are people who played OTA daily for about 6 or 8 years.

If you are playing with friends on a LAN, you do not need a gaming service. Just play via IP.

Why people like rocket units so much? My experience tells me they are kicked by plasma ones, at least on large battles.

not rockets, missiles. missiles are long ranged and thus their effectiveness manifold the more units you have. their tracking also means they can hit moving targets even then they themselves are moving. with missiles you also can forget about air attacks.
