Spring Ladder reborn
Ok so the spring ladder from before is back up and running. Since it started again we've seen a reasonable increase in the number of 1v1's played, but it would be nice to see more people playing 1v1s amongst themselves and the current players on the ladder. At the moment we pretty much just have the active 1v1 players from before the ladder started up again, playing more games than before.
So I figure it's worth advertising here for those who arn't aware of the ladder being restarted, and for those that are, start playing!!
#league is the channel in lobby to idle if you are on the ladder and the main point of information about tournaments and future developments. This channel can also be used to advertise when you want to find an opponent. Please add this channel to your perform list so you auto joins each time you connect to lobby.
Don't be scared to start playing 1v1 ladder games. The main excuse so far is that people don't think they are good enough. I'm fed up of hearing it and really want to emphasise that players of all skill levels are welcome. The more the merrier, and as more players join it will become increasingly easy to find opponents at your skill level to play against. This ladder is not meant solely for the "elitist 1v1 players" - it's a community ladder, everyone is welcome and all I'm sure that everyone benefits from new players on the ladder.
Another comment from many players is that they just don't like 1v1. I can't really help that but I really think the majority of these people havn't given 1v1 gaming enough of a chance. Try it out for a while. It can be very rewarding both in a fun sense, competitive sense and absolutely definately will improve your overall game. Yes, 1v1's are challenging, but from my experience in the 1v1 scene in spring there is a lot of positive elements to enjoy and the only negative is feeling bad about losing. Don't be scared to lose and compete with other players. Learning 1v1 does take time but there are many others in spring who can learn WITH you on the ladder. We don't expect newcomers to jump right into the deep end and play the top 5 players on the ladder every game, although you are more than welcome to if you want.
So sign up, advertise to the other players you know and chat to in spring and start having gg's. Even if you just want to sign up with someone you know in spring and play games with that person alone for a while thats fine. There's plenty of time to start branching out to play others.
News wise, theres a few things to note. Soon there will be a 2v2 ladder starting up which will bring much funs I'm sure:D Get organised and think about who you would like to play with in this ladder.
So far as full fledged team games such as 3v3 and 4v4 go, this is also something that is being looked into. Updates as they come.
Tournaments will be arranged regularly. These are really enjoyable both to play in and watch, so keep an eye out for any mention of tournaments in #league. The first tournament was held last night and was a success. Almost everyone had a good time playing and spectating and chatting to each other about all sorts of stuff.
Please comment on your thoughts with regard to the ladder and any questions are welcome.

Atm im under the impression that the ladder/#league are for BA only. I really enjoy 1v1s, and often find it hard to find an opponent for XTA 1v1's, do you think that the ladder could incorporate multiple mods, or would that be quite a headache for the organisers/maintainers?
Props to everyone involved for putting the time in to organise this

I never really played much 1vs1 (actually, any at all). After trying a few games, I doubt I will go back to playing 5 vs 5 Altored games and stuff.
I have yet to win a ladder game, but I just lost to [XHC]Peace in one of the most fun games I every played in.
I highly recommend trying the ladder and 1vs1 gaming, I'm idling in #league so if you want to play against a guy who is equally new to all of this, message me.
