Core air or Arm air?
I think core got the best overall, but arm got the better air, so I made this topic was a complement to smoths one.

I'd say core, bWing at L1 and 'canes at L2.
How a padawan uses bladewings?
Moderate amounts of bwings (read : keep building), avoidance of heavy AA, be willing to "sacrifice" some bwings when there's light AA and you really have no other choice for attacking and the most important :
Giev move order over enemy group!111
After that, assign bladewings individually to each unit to keep it paralyzed and keep the rest "moving" over the para'd group.
THAT IS MY PHILOSOPHY!
