yup...hunterw wrote:hows that "not raiding" thing working lathan![]()
probably not a good demo to watch and learn to play from, randy knows there's nothing coming so he focuses all his attention on economy for a really long time
I beat oner of his friends though, [Pro]Flopflop.. :-p
I can claim that

It was good fun regardless...

I gotta give them both credit though, they were honest, well rounded, nice, and fair players...
they did not hassle me, did not antagonize me, and encouraged me to play again, and play better. All around, fun players.
I would enjoy another game with them again sometime.
they had excellent sportsmanship
good guys.

I'm at work, ask randy, he has em too...hunterw wrote:i want more demos of pro_randy pls

besides, the only game where he did anything "different" was the first one... he actually raided early, and kinda after, and I held him for a bit longer in a more "fun" fight I think,
the second game...
we're not gonna go there, ... I got pwned.. long story short.
the third, well.. you see it.
the 4th game was against flop flop on MH too... and yeah, it took a long damn time, but I held the d-line I was talking about, and used my army to smother him..

the 5th game, was on Full Moon (lots of rocks and things to re-claim... it throws off "known build orders" )... and yeah, I fought long and hard, to the bitter end, and well... I was beaten from the get go... I knew it.. but I just gave the best fight I could for the fun of the game.. It'd be different if I "just let him beat me" thats boring, and makes you waste your day away effin off... blah...
sometimes you gotta lost to have fun.. everyone deserves their chance to gloat in their glory.

anyways yeah, again, they were fun to play with because they were "nice" players... "ubar" or not, who cares,...

Yeah, exponential growth in leet-level play is expected. Growth of all unbounded organic entities is exponential. Randy's base/econ/troops are an organic entity, and he was basically unboudned in that game. go figure
Watch old SmuG - PRO - WarC games on Comet, the growth is ridiculous. Good playesr are only restricted by the size of the map and teh limitations of the engine (and yes steven that means you

I was a bit suprised with the AMOUNT of stuff he could produce...
it was, well... for lack of better words, ALOT.
He has spent a great deal of time, timing how units move, when they need to "re-orient" to get out of the way of build queues.. etc...
he has it down to an art.
I gotta give him that.
On a side note though, its fun to play someone like that and "try" once or twice...
but after that, its just not fun anymore... and frankly... losing over and over gets annoying, and winning that hard, is kinda boring to me too..
If I realize I'm whooping an opponent, like OMGWTF WOW! whooping, I'll slow down a little, just to make it more fun
but still, yes, growth is exponental, I can keep up on the low end (the first 5 mins), but I just cannot, by any means, control the number of units he can as effectively after that... jeesus.
