He has just finished a brilliant port of the also-brilliant DOS game, Descent, considered by the educated (:P) to be the greatest game ever, ever, ever. And ever.
You need a flashcard like the R4 (get it here: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/r4-ds-revolut ... p-190.html , no I'm not making any money off the referral), a microSD card of any size, and the original Descent data files. Which I absolutely WILL NOT send to you if you PM me.
How serious am I that this is worth the investment in a DS, a flashcard and a microsd JUST for this game? Let me put it this way. I am so happy to finally have this on my DS that I sent this guy two days' wages that I really should've spent on something else. But he deserves it. Donate to this guy, we'll have multiplayer and maybe Descent 2 in no time!
If you have any trouble setting it up, post and I'll help.
Nice, might take a better look later. I know of another project similar to this that is trying to port Cave Story to the DS as well, which by the educated is considered the greatest game EVAR!!!
New version was just released, save/load now works on more (all?) flashcards, select can now be used as a button properly, briefings don't seem to crash at all anymore.

It's Descent. On my DS. It goes where I go. And I play Descent on it. I'm ripping him off only giving him $200.

Hey what? You mean about that canattack etc stuff? Didn't I send you the money? I'll check my paypal history but I'm sure I sent you the money. I'm not the kind of guy who'd just hang on to somebody's cash, I'm not poor or dishonest or anything... I wish you'd have said something sooner if you never got the money, not just thought I was ripping you and Argh off.
You want $200? For starters, gimme proper hitboxes...
AF, I agreed to pay you $50. I did not. I'm now paying you $75. Send me a PM to verify your paypal address hasn't changed.
Argh, looks like I've been sitting on your cash for a bit. So I'm returning it with interest - $35. Same for Argh, please PM to verify address.
As for this "spring community" debt, the person who PMs me all of the following:
-The first and last names of the main Descent arc villain
-The main color of the first and last bosses in Desent 1
-The weakness of the last boss in Descent 2
-The name of the first boss in Descent 3
-The name of your ship in Descent 1/2
-The solar location of the first and last missions of Descent
-The color your malfunction at the end of Descent 2 creates
-Completion of this sentence: "Prepare for Descent, ________ ________"
...along with their paypal address, gets $50. Now we're square. Adding 5% additional to all figures (which are in US funds) to cover paypal charges.
History: I started a "feature bounty" to get some stuff put into the game that was really important to AA and the modding scene in general, and asked if anyone would add their $$$ to the pot to increase the incentive. Argh was the only taker, who gave $30 if memory serves, to my $20. AF made the patch, however it was rejected by the admins as being hastily written and breaking a variety of game code, but it was eventually put into the game after modifications had been made. I, realizing that this sort of thing would probably be the outcome of any future "feature bounty", have not offered any new ones. And... what is it now, a year later? I realize I never actually sent the cash during all the confusion. Argh never said a word, despite probably having heard about it. So that's why there's interest. AF just mentioned that there was this discrepancy of never having been paid, and so now it's corrected.
And yes, I posted this in General Discussion just so more people woud see it and realize it was in fact paid in the end, and any possible rumors would be nipped in the bud. I'm a monster.
After a 14 hour work day, which will now be mostly used to pay off this debt, I'm going to bed now, so don't expect announcement of a winner until tomorrow at about this time. ALL answers must be correct, unless they're too difficult and obscure for anyone but me to remember, in which case the most correct answers wins. If nobody gets 100% correct answers by this time tomorrow, the time period will be extended and will just be closest to correct by my sole judgment. Typographical errors don't matter, as long as it's readable. If your answers are so disgustingly off the mark and incorrect, I win by virtue of spending the money on a pizza and Captain Morgan.
