I dont have internet access anymore since I am in college and >insert politicl ramble about tuition here< so yeah.. I use the computer lab in the college to play lan games with my friends and I have been trying to see if I could get Spring to work. the spring client does not work at all. when I click Regester I get a really long winded timeout error and then the username/pw screen comes up and when I submit it gives another long error. if you'd like to hear about the errors I'd copy them out. I assume you need to run spring client to join up a local game but it does not seem to function on its own. the "configuration" screen is also greyed out. I suppose it will be that way untill I connect?
basically what I am asking is how do I set up a game without the spring client ever needing to connect to the outside world? or is this problem created by some other bug? the IT gestapo wont open up any ports so thats out of the question for me. the policy here is secure network with free access.
LAN Problems from behind firewall.

When you try to connect to the battleroom server, it tries to pass through port 4xxx(?). It is most certainly blocked by the firewall.End_User wrote:... when I click Regester...
You may even not have the possibility to play through direct connection to other PCs inside the network if the firewalls are also blocking port flow internally...
Those types of networks have usually firewalls blocking the ports from passing from the outside to inside (and the other way around) of networks but sometimes, they also block ports from inside to inside!
