Question: Network Play

Post by SuperFreeza »

Is there any way to play through a direct connection via network? And if not, I assume there is plans to implement that sometime in the future (although i understand if an ETA can't be made). Thanks.

Yes, go to your spring folder and run spring.exe. You host, and your friends don't host and join via IP. It works.

About this loading and then your friend simply has to enter you Ip to join. What i dont understand is when i start spring it ask me to pic a script. Now if I pick and any script and run its fine and we can play but it is not a simple one on one battle. Am I correct in assuming you have to use the command line "Spring.exe script.txt" where you edit the script.txt file to choose the settings you want. There is no way to simply start a battle with one of the script in the menu right? Sorry for my ignorance But just want to know if the server goes down again, i am getting addicted to this game :).

Pick the "Commander" Script. It'll spawn a Commander for all players and leave it at that.
