Can people play for fun and not only to win ??? (IN BA !!!)

Can someone explain to me why the comm is even transportable by L1 transport? I mean, while the comnapping/combombing are "legitimate" tactics, I would argue that they don't make the game any more fun. They provide a way to ruin the enemy's game entirely by a simple (but expensive) trick you do right at the start, skipping over all the fun art-of-combat stuff of managing troops and controlling territory.
Here's how I think about gameplay features (other than ones required for balance): if the game was _just_ this, would it be a fun game? For most things, the answer is "yes" - meanwhile, a game where you had only commanders, MTs, and transports, would that be fun? No, it would be boring and pointless.
Still, nobody will agree with me since all the hardcores are emotionally invested in the idea that ending the game 3 minutes in with an esoteric trick is critical to their enjoyment of Spring.

i'm very agree with u !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't particularly mind having commanders transportable by T1 transports, but when T3 changed to be non-transportable in BA for no real reason I was kind of annoyed, especially when nobody would actually answer why you could carry a com but not T3, just saying "THATS HOW IT WORKS OK I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN".
There are other reasons why comm can be transported by L1 transport other than simply to comm bomb. Starting air (for whavever reason) you can use an atlas to transport your comm around and build mex, llt etc. You can put him on top of hills that would take ages (or impossible) to climb, you can pick him up and fly him away when you see that the enemy is going to kill him if he stays where he is. etc etc etc.
also you can move him behind enemy lines to build defenses in the enemy's area before they expand to that area.
People have this unreasonable expectation that if they build enough HLTs in one area, then that area should stay alive and defended no matter what until the game is over or a krog comes at it. combomb helps make things more dynamic and forces players to think on their toes. Many players don't want to think so hard when playing, they just want to relax and build some defenses and then wait until they have a lot of super power units and attack, so they dislike combombing which ruins their carefully laid out plans.

I'm playing for fun all the time, that's why you will rarely see me in a real fight. I like to build up much defences and let the ai, or a mate (most time we also play 2 vs 3+ ai's (that's also why I'm so eaeger about aggresive, massive attacking ai's ^^)) fight me (or the other way around with my mate).
Yeah I'm a porcer (it's called like that , right?). I don't know if I could play offensive, I just don't want to ^^

I just had a idea: why some lover of no combing edit BA so the com doesnt dies that "dramatically" anymore and release it?

You can capture atlas transports with your commander if he gets napped, provided that the opponent doesnt self D it too soon, or fly it over your anti air. Anyone that knows this could easily avoid being captured.Hellspawn wrote:Paralysing enemy comm and converting it to your side is much more fun ^^.
Also tested last week how long it takes to capture comm and its a LONG LONG time.

IMHO thats not really because of the content themselves, but more because of the lack of content: ie. single player missions / tutorials. Flattening the learning curve by making the max complexity lower loses us pro players, whereas flattening the learning curve by making the "slope" longer (and keeping same max complexity) doesn't lose us pros and does win us the noobs.
