Sorry guys, we've gone through about five different members in as many months, and it's basically down to the core team again (myself, UGO, secure), though we have gained two new members who have stuck with us and are proving to be very helpful (Maelstrom and Guessmyname).
I'm also back at uni, which is slowing things down.
However, bear in mind that we have 67 completely s3o'd units working in-game, which I *think* is the largest of any mod thus far (the next closest being Gundam or 1944). Despite that, we're probably still less then 50% of our final planned release (130 planned units total, but the later ones are the most scripting and model/texture intensive).
However, we have had a discussion and decided that it has been too long since release - and will still be a while till completion, so we are currently thinking of realigning our short-term goals into a smaller, less complete release for balance testing, followed by a large scale final release. This has not been confirmed yet, and if anyone starts asking for testing positions, I will have to feed you to a starved rancor.
You've probably seen our requests for help around the community. If you really want to see a release sooner, here is a four step process to getting SWS out sooner:
1. Buy aGorm a new computer
2. Convince aGorm to start texxing for SWS again
3. Dig up another talented texturer
4. Dig up a talented scripter.
Failing that, you'll just have to bear with us and be patient
But, because we're flattered by all the interest and (semi-)patience, here's a few new screenshots of some other completed units.
(Note that all screenshots shown are working shots and could well be different from what you see in the final game)

Rebel Commandos

Single Trooper Aerial Platform (STAP)

Mon Calamari Sniper

Imperial Barracks
(This shot is a little outdated, the lights have since been removed, and the texture tweaked a little bit)

I did, and the compliment was much appreciated :)
Though, I didn't think it was that good, it was mostly just cheap paneling with pillow emboss. I got the greebles by taking a picture of an oil refinery on flickr and cutting it up and messing about with that in upspring. It was the first time I thought to use the false lights though, which I'm quite pleased with.
