And have you ever worked in a development group trying to make one? Misery - everybody sees it as such, and you can't break out of the limitations because nobody is willing to raise the stakes.

I do tend to think EVE is a fascinating game tough, very different from the typical mmorpg but it surely is guilty of suck if you havn't played nonstop since the beginning, IE for years stretched out of content these days. What I mean is the whole 'make-epic-ingame-history' it has going. At least in theory. The possibilities are there, intrigueing the mind, even if they are very seldom actually realised in actual play.
