Final:

Here's the model, in OBJ format. Not ready for skinning yet. 484 triangles. Please note that I had 16 to spare, even after silly details like the flame-starter, which I will now have to code an animation for so it ain't pointless ;)

Maybe this will finally get the high-polycount debate squad to stop and actually consider that they know zero about what they're talking about ;) If you can make something like this, you have enough skill to debate what is appropriate polycount with me. Otherwise, don't bother 8)

Kewl design, except for that shield. Not too sure what its purpose is except to recieve fire thats not going to hit the rest of the body. What if it kinda wrapped around the side of its body?

Now I have to come up with something original........ I've got it, I will make a tank. Excellent.

In the "first" design shield looked like it could actually block something, now it looks like it's there just to suck more hits.

Hmm the shield looks like deco now yes. A fist would be cool wouldn't it?

Argh, that little script it made which "calculates" the turning angle over time should work with the rear axis to make it steer.

I kinda like the design, except for the small shield. And that's a good effort for <500 polys.

Hmm. A fist... kind've hard with the remaining polycount. I'll think it over.

If you enlarged the shield and bent it around a little with the remaining polies it would be great!

You've got 16 + 20 => 36 polygons left if you remove the shield for a fist... if I can count that is. :)
Also a fist could represent the power of the knight. But do what ever you like...

I threw this up just to try a low poly fist, and I failed :D

128 poly, but maybe this will give you some ideas.

Actually what you could do, is to make a C shaped box, and call it good.
Do the rest with texture.

34 polygons 8)

Could be even less if I cut out the backfaces of the thumb or add holes in places which can't be seen.

My take on what a stealth tank could look like (I am aware that things such as the tracks and the slightly flat front would cause reflection and that radar isnt often used on ground vehicles IRL but its just a game). Its 636 tris, I will add detail if someone wants me too but stealth things usually are fairly Flat Sided without extra things to cause reflections.

I will upload the .wings and .obj file later.

Anyhow here are some pics:

Very nice. I would make the tracks clip into the body instead of leaving holes though.

Almost overseen the new knight. Yes that's even better than a fist and looks more useful than the old shield.

The stealth tanks looks nice.
Maybe it would be fun to have it a on/off switch to toggle the stealth. (it would need energy)
When not cloaked more parts like antennas, engine exhausts or sensor arrays would be visible. Then when it cloaks all those things disappear into the body. Might be cool..?

Thats all scriptable... that's a model competion though but some antennas don't hurt (made of tetragons* or how they are called with a very small base).

*tetrahedrons. :P
