It's not a direct port. I've been playing with it. Resizing etc, remember? lol I'm the kind of person who will work on something til I get it right regardless of the amount of time taken. Just think... you micromanage in a game of Spring yeah? I micromanage the pixels in my image and heightmaps. I also refuse to DL a cracked copy of Photoshop. I've been pushing mspaint to the max for placing features.

Is L3D3 free btw? I forgot to ask before.

And I'll need to reinstall EE again. Something screwed up on my machine before and I had to completely reinstall. If you see me on, let's chat things out. I think we might be seeing different sides of the same coin. :P Or something. lol

Why do you have to bash map makers for trying something to appease to us nostalgiholics? just agree to disagree for christ sakes!

sure you can make a shinier version but maybe we WANT 256 color textures to feed our nostalgia?

Seriously, if you are nostalgic and want to play a certain NES game, do you play the original or a new shinier incarnation of the game? the shiny version will not have the same feel as the original and would not bring back those fond memories, that's what those recreations can do.

I realise they could just pop in their TA CD and start playing it on the OTA engine but why not have it in the superior spring engine but still with the same feel? :P

because in general a direct port is bad. A good port requires an entire retexturing. While forboding isn't saying it I still have played many games with him on noizes maps back when I didn't have such a bad taste in my mouth from the community.

Would you play that old game on an upgraded engine which shows all its flaws GZ?

Actually, the Spring engine has a good number of flaws as well which I won't mention right now. Mostly because I want to use them to my advantage before they're removed. :P
