What I mean is: He wants to know how to play better in the games he plays. Its all very well suggesting courses for improvement but don't assume nubs care about this more than simply having fun. This is not a problem with their attitude as this is not school.

Well I don't know of anyone who has become good just from playing DSD. Every good player I know of is also good in 1v1.

You're still assuming the priority is to become a pro.

8v8 is fun. But there's a level of play and if you can't play up to it you get beaten up and risk getting votekicked for being a nub. If some advice helps nubs reach this level then they can have more fun trying different strategies. Playing something else for practice kind of defeats the object.

8v8 isnt that fun IMO... unless its speedball or etc crazy maps

speedball is fun because people dont care about losing... so they go combomb just for fun, and it really is fun to see people doing that all the time in one single game :-) damn... i miss speedballz :(
