I made a fairly decent marketing reply. Essentially my form of marketing which goes along the lines of, hey, here's something you might not have seen before, here's a little of what if can do, and if you're interested check us out sometime.

If someone is interested, they will check it out, if they aren't they won't.

Letting fanboi'ism into an advertisement it the WORST thing you could possibly do.

Additionally, saying spring>supcom while showing off Cavedog content is laughable and idiotic at the same time.

NEVER EVER let it get to the point of Greater than Less than, and NEVER insult someone because he likes something different. It's called soft selling, and it tends to garner a lot of interest.

The Evolution Website garners over 100 unique hits per day, there is a reason. I just wish .77 would get here so I could fix the gui, add the music and basic stuff which should already be there tbh.

No,i didnt show YOUR project since everyone can go and cry about how their project needs to be advertized each time there is talk of spring.
I did not say spring is ta in 3d.
From the very start i said its an engine that runs many games,my first post said that.
Either your blind,your browser has some issues or you just decided that since your project didnt get explosure you should #1 trash me even though people there didnt think i misrepresent spring,supcom or insult them #2 get some advertising done to your own game.
Did you see me posting about Supreme Aniihilaiton there?even though that is the mod i like best there is no mentioning of it there.
However i mentioned ta in general and i also mentioned Star wars,Pure and S44 since I think they hold the most promise and its my right to think so.
If i was to post there saying come play Supreme annihialtion the best game in the universe and tha tis what spring is about than youd have a point.
I used the resources i had which were the best and most watched video that was unfortunatly ta focused but whether you want it or not its the best eyecandy video we have and i used the legacy that brings spring the majority of player(for now)which is Ta.
You posted now just for the sole purpose of advertising your own project.

They dont know that in the Supcom forums but It is evident to anyone from spring reading what you have posted.

supcom is the only game I lament buying and I own a lot of games.

I liked it to some extent until I played multiplayer. Once I had a few games of multiplayer I lost all interest.

The comunity sucks or the game has nothing to make a multiplayer game more interesting than one against the AI?

Sry, but you fail.
Games between total idiots or noobs are uninteresting because they can nothing but spamm 1 type of units and then later complain that the game is imbalanced or boring... Or games last hours because they are too stupid to win.
And yes Fa only got like 100 good players and some are currently inactive... If you dont play for some time you will not be shown in the ladder. Thats the negative point I have about FA... just not enough players.

Some people might know that I played Spring for some time and I liked it.
I switched to supcom/fa because its just better overall. I know that spring will catch up and be better in some time but currently FA is more fun for me.

Dont know why people here hate FA so much... They should love it when they liked ta. Sry but for me this behaviour feels a bit ignorant. Maybe because spring is not as successful as some people wish.

Look Yan, the point is that you shouldn't "promote" Spring by going to other communities and either saying explicitly, or obviously implying that their game is inferior in some way to our game.

I have supcom but i still play spring for a few reasons;
Spring has in many ways much better controls than Supcom,for example
Instead of sending cons to patrol you can give them a reclaim order by making a circle and it will reclaim everything in it.
Its hard to explain but its much better than the ta style,"sending your cons to patrol"...
Also unit control is much better,there is actual micro and there are many very comfterble ways to move and place your units.

The real problem was when you said "there is actual micro", obviously implying that SupCom either has "fake" or no micro at all, which IMMEDIATELY began offending the forum members and promptly incited an unfavorable reaction to your entire post.

Fact is i advertied spring without any personal agenda while some of my critics criticized me for not adveritizing their projects.
