beherith, you have potential but you *really* must get over your fixation for inverted panels.

I know I'm missing some stuff, but that's because I was too lazy. Glad to get it done though. :P

The Solar/Windmill/Mex are OTA reskinned models.
Don't do that.
To be fair, you don't really have to add a hell of a lot to the Solar in terms of polies anyway. Seems perfectly reasonable to use the original OTA models in that case (just a reskin via UV map + add missing faces)

modeling it maybe 10 minutes, uv mapping and creating a .tga texture  took longer because i had to read some tutorials.
maybe 2 hours total with 20 minutes spent on actual art.

its the first unit i got into spring.
thanks to #ca especially pressureline, maakey and carrepairer i think.

cover your eyes and click.

Dead sexy... but there's some weird texture stretching going on at the back. Probably won't notice it in gameplay, but it's an ugly problem up-close.

Still, it's probably more trouble than it's worth to fix that, so I say run with it.

well. imo, dont be offended. the big crawler does look good texture wise, the aesthetic isn't really much for me, the design has detail which is good, but doesnt seem to fit well. reminds me of the ufo's in supcom, that the model was good, just didnt fit or add to the game play. dont let me discourage you though, in fact prove me wrong.
good job on the model

I kind of agree, the WW1-steampunk-esque aesthetic just doesn't make any sense in the context of the high tech mechs that you've got walking around in your mod already...
