That's because at the time I wasn't aware of how to use the lowpass option in the compiler (even though it was simple enough). That and the fact that in times new roman, a capital I in notepad looks a heck of a lot like a lowercase l :lol:


Trademark, about quite a few of my maps have a height difference of 1000. Lowpass ftw. Instead of continuing the argument/debate, you should try your map with lowpass and get back to us. As an interesting note, for fun once I compiled a map at a height difference of 3000 using lowpass, oddly enough there wasn't any terracing like I thought there would be, either that, or I just didn't see it. It was an l3dt redrawn heightmap so that might have had something to do with it as well.

Does that lowpass make extra height levels to the heightmap? So it basically smoothes the heightlevels?

V3 was not compiled using lowpass, this one is. Looks much less like fail too.

Wow, it looks so smooth now :o
But why the file size is 10 times bigger now?

Starting positions are in wrong place though.
