I do. I use 'em all the time in EE. Great way for con units to throw some weight in defense.

We might be able to cobble together a playable, infantry-only, Germany and USA only, old models and textures and scripts, new sounds Spring: '44 demo type of thing, in about 5mb.

Maybe.

To include EE with AA would be a disgrace. It shouldn't be treated like some second rate mod to be packaged as a slight bonus with others.

tis the AA & EE (aka "EE & AA") mod pack! and to make it fair, there will be no stand alone AA or EE downloads outside of this EE & AA mod pack starting from the next version of the respective mods!

We're looking into it and it's quite possible. We are just wondering whether or not it's a good idea to release something with all the old graphical content and severely-limited build tree.

@Das Bruce:

Er, that means NanoBlobs is second-rate?

C'mon dude. This is not about how good the mods are. This is about getting them exposure, which is a serious problem with Spring. If you ever get your mod done, and things haven't changed, you'll see why we're all willing to participate, and why we're all pretty eager to change things- even Caydr, when this is to his disadvantage (in the short term). Spring needs to get its players used to trying NEW THINGS. Not just a few of the Forum members, but all of the players who just hit the lobby. If we put thousands of man-hours into brilliant mods that nobody even tries out... this is all kind've pointless.

No but it does, atleast last time I played which I am sad to say was a while back, have a sort of portal feel too it, if you catch my drift. I actually didn't see it, but any mods decent enough to be packaged with AA shouldn't be relegated to a bonus when you download AA.
A mod pack I would have no problem with, so long as the mods are all considered equally and of a high standard.

Dude...Fang...where are these bad vibes comming from?

I mean you're turrets are COOL! Whats wrong with the damn turrets? Even if they are not as great as the tanks and bots...well think. Those tanks and bots are so HOT they are COLD!

And I agree with Bruce. Mod pack. MOD PACK! Not just a "AA & dot dot dot"

good idea caydr.

abut EE thing, what bothers me the most is that i cant see bulets --> and allmost all other rTS have visible bulets (ta, CNC, age, etc). What is more, lack of MM makes it more predictable -> i have 60% of mexes, i will win. other than that, great mod!

Com Shooters

Post by Noruas »

I can make a mini first person shooter for spring, where dgun goes about 100 range, but the dgun goes forever beyond that. Get rid of the lazers, make dgun take 1/3 health per shot on commander, and it will be less than 1 meg.
